1. Divorce ? Divesting title by court decree. In an action for divorce, a court has no power to divest title of the husband to specific property and to vest such title in the wife, either in lieu of or in addition to alimony. 2. Divorce ? Court cannot transfer husbands property to wife. The statute authorizing the district court, where a divorce is granted to the wife for an offense of the husband, to compel the husband to make such suitable allowance to the wife for her support as may be just does not authorize the trial court to vest in the wife title to husbands property. 3. Divorce ? Court divesting husband of title held in error. Where the trial court vested title to certain of the husbands property in the wife who was granted an absolute divorce for cruelty, in lieu of alimony, the decree was modified by the Supreme Court by eliminating such provision from the decree, and the trial court was directed to award to the wife periodical payments by the husband of such allowance as it should deem just for the wifes support. - Page 352
